Classic Ribs with our Original Rub Recipe

Ingredients

  • Ribs
  • Rub
  • Apple Juice

Instructions

  • Remove the membrane from the bone side of ribs. This is a thin, transparent tissue on the underside of the ribs. Works best to use a paper towel to remove the membrane.
  • Generously rub Ribs top and bottom with K Krew BBQ original rub. Rub should be evenly coated all over the ribs.
  • When smoker is up to temperature, 235-250°F, place ribs bone side down and smoke for 3 hours.
  • After the 3 hours pull the ribs and place on a sheet of aluminum foil or butcher paper with 3-4 tablespoons of apple juice, seal tight to trap moisture, return to the smoker for 2 hours.
  • After 2 hours open foil so the entire top of the ribs are visible. At this point if you want you can brush a very light layer of your favorite bbq sauce. Return to the smoker for 1 hour.
  • Pull from smoker and let rest 15-25 minutes before enjoying!
